I undertook studies both in South Africa CIS and America (Studied at Louisiana State University) – Basic Computer Programming – Please don’t ask the certificate is bigger than the knowledge I retained – However whilst at LSU I was fortunate to be able to receive tuition from one of the top riding instructors as well as obtaining a qualification to teach handicapped riding. On returning to SA I joined a small but vibrant Advertising Agency as Financial Director, we sold the agency some years later but being part of a 25 personnel organisation teaches you skills in a number areas, however I still cannot be creative, fortunately a creative financial person is not usually a great idea.

With my knowledge of finance together with my understanding of Advertising agency life I was fortunate to be offered a position of Operations Manager at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Durban by Mr. James Porter in March 1996. My appointment to the Board followed a year later and over time I have seen the Durban agency grow to a staff complement of 160 and now maintain the positions of Operations Director. This growth has allowed me to expand my knowledge in HR, Legal and general Operational matters as well as maintaining my financial portfolio.
