Lisa joined Magna Carta in 2013 where she has earned a reputation for decisive, incisive and compassionate reputation and stakeholder management. Supported by a team of PR specialists and writers who cover a wide array of fields and industries she has assisted some of South Africa’s most prominent listed companies through reputational crises including Allan Gray, Clicks, Old Mutual and Vital Health Foods.
Her passion and dedication to her clients along with her straight-forward approach and ability to perform under immense pressure has earned her the respect of clients and industry alike.
Armed with a national diploma in Public Relations and a Professional Management Development Course from the UCT Graduate School of Business, Lisa started her career at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust, raising over R120m for South Africa’s only dedicated children’s hospital. As Executive Director of the Children’s Hospital Trust she launched the largest public appeal for funds in the Western Cape and did this on a cost to income ratio of less that 10c per rand raised.
This career highlight was followed by an appointment to head up Marketing and Communications for the National Olympic Committee of South Africa in 2001. It was during this time that Lisa was exposed to the challenges and intricacies of reputation management.
Lisa has hand-picked and enabled a specialist team of brand builders and content creators with expertise in a range of fields and industries. Past clients include MMi Holdings, Deloitte, British American Tabaco, Pernod Ricard and Engen Petroleum. Lisa has strong interpersonal skills and is excellent at interacting with clients at all levels within an organisation. Creative and multi-talented, Lisa enjoys a challenge! She likes to get her hands dirty and relishes getting stuck in and solving client problems. Lisa remains committed to serving the community and in her downtime is an active Lifeguard for the Big Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.
